The Most Wanted Eau de Parfum Intense was launched in 2021, developed by a team of perfumers at L'Oréal — described by Azzaro as "a Fougère Woody Oriental accord" that is "intense, sophisticated and magnetic."
The opening is a vibrant burst of cardamom that instantly grabs attention — not the dusty, tea-like cardamom of classic orientals, but a bright, spicy-sweet explosion with an almost gingery warmth. As the scent settles, a smooth heart of rich toffee adds warm and irresistible sweetness — a decadent, almost-burnt caramel accord that feels incredibly inviting without becoming cloying. The base brings amber woods with bourbon vanilla and vetiver, creating a warm, resinous foundation that gives the sweetness weight and masculinity.
Longevity is 8-10+ hours easily — this thing sticks around — with strong projection for the first 3-4 hours where people around you will know. This is a fall/winter exclusive — the sweetness becomes cloying and headache-inducing above 65°F.
Community comparisons most frequently land on Stronger With You Intensely — The Most Wanted veers sweeter while SWY veers spicier, though it also smells similar with that delicious toffee note. The sweetness is aggressive — this is not for the faint of heart, and if you're not into gourmand/sweet fragrances, this will be way too much. But if you love bold, compliment-getting winter gourmands with serious projection, this is exactly why a decant is the smart move — sample it first and discover whether it becomes your cold-weather go-to.
