Explorer is Montblanc's woody-aromatic pillar fragrance, launched in 2019 and created by three Givaudan perfumers: Jordi Fernandez, Antoine Maisondieu, and Olivier Pescheux. Montblanc Explorer tells the story of adventures, quests for excellence, challenging conventions and exploring the four corners of the globe.

The opening gives you bergamot and a fruity-citrus brightness that's reminiscent of Aventus but less pineapple-forward. There's a slightly green, herbal quality from clary sage that gives it its own twist. The heart unfolds with Haitian vetiver and leather — a refined, clean aromatic accord that keeps Explorer grounded and masculine without going heavy. The base combines ambroxan, akigalawood, Indonesian patchouli, and cacao — a warm, woody-synthetic foundation that delivers modern freshness with understated depth.
